PIQUA — Bob and Lucy Fess of Piqua will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 5.
They were united in marriage Nov. 5, 1955, at Grace United Methodist Church in Piqua.
The Fesses are parents of two children, Julie (Fess) Henkaline of Piqua and Mike Fess of Fairborn. They have a total of seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Bob, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a former Piqua Police officer, is a retired business owner (Bob L. Fess Sohio/BP). He enjoys tennis and is part of a competitive group that plays once a week.
Lucy is a well-known figure in the community. Most recently, she served as Piqua’s Director of Economic Development, followed by a stint as partner in The Jackson Fess Financial Group. A long-time community activist, Lucy has served a total of 12 years as a Piqua City Commissioner and has worn the Mayor’s hat for 10 of those years.
The couple will celebrate this milestone event with friends and family, followed by visits with out-of-town grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
