• KIWANIS CLUB: The Kiwanis Club of Troy will welcome guest speaker, Congressman Warren Davidson. Representing the 8th Congressional District, Davidson will give an update of the progress in Washington. The meeting will be held at noon at the Troy Country Club.

• COLORING FOR ADULTS: Adults (ages 16 and up) can meet to color at the Milton-Union Public Library. Enjoy a cup of coffee, cocoa, or tea while coloring your cares away. All drinks will need to be in a carrier with a lid. Beverages, coloring pages, markers, and pens will be provided.

• COMPUTER Q & A: Get computer help from 6:30-8 p.m. Local experts will be offering 30-minute help sessions for those who need help with their computers at the Milton-Union Public Library. These one-on-one sessions can cover either software or hardware questions. Bring your own laptop if you can, but library laptops will be available if you are not able to bring your own. • SLIDERS: John’s sliders will be offered at the Tipp City American Legion Post 586. Toppings and chips with two sliders for $2 starting at 6 p.m.

• EUCHRE TOURNEY: The Miami Valley Centre Mall in Piqua will be hosting a Euchre tournament to benefit the local charities, including the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter, VFW Post 4874 and the Bethany Center in Piqua. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with games beginning at 6 p.m. The event will take place in the mall’s food court and will be single elimination. Entry fee is $5 per person and you select one of the four charities to give your money to. A “Loser’s Lounge” will be set up in the banquet room for those that want to play board games, eat snacks and socialize. Top team prize is $200 with gift cards to runner ups. • SEAFOOD DINNER: The Pleasant Hill VFW Post 6557, 7578 W. Fenner Road, Ludlow Falls, will offer a three-piece fried fish dinner, 21-piece fried shrimp, or a fish/shrimp combo with french fries and coleslaw for $7 from 6-7:30 p.m. Frog legs when available for $10.

• FRIDAY DINNERS: The Covington VFW Post 4235, 73 N. High St., will offer dinners, including broasted chicken, New York strip steaks, fish and shrimp and a variety of sandwiches from 5-8 p.m.

• PIZZA: Pizza night will be offered at 6 p.m. at the Troy Fish & Game.

• LOUNGE SERIES: The Friends of the Piqua Public Library will present the first event of their 2017 Library Lounge Series, Art Inspired at 7 p.m. at the library. The program will be “Seeing is Believing,” with three well-known local artists focusing on some fascinating aspects of the visual arts. Michael Glass, Rosemary Kienle and Sue Teach. The program is free and open to anyone 21 and older, but seating is limited so admission is by ticket only. Tickets can be obtained at the front desk of the library. Complementary light refreshments will be served.

• LASAGNA: The Tipp City American Legion Post 586 Riders will cook and serve a lasagna dinner including salad, garlic bread and dessert beginning at 6 p.m. for $8.

Saturday

• STEAK FRY: The Pleasant Hill VFW Post 6557, 7578 W. Fenner Road, Ludlow Falls, will offer a T-bone steak dinner with salad, baked potato and a roll for $15 from 5 -8 p.m.

• FAMILY CONCERT: The free annual family concert at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the Goree Drum and Dance Group. Under the direction of Balla and Serrita Sy, this family concert will begin with a performance of dance and drum and finish with a hands-on drum workshop so kids can experience the power and excitement of these instruments. The group focuses primarily on West African drum and dance style with an emphasis on honoring the culture and history of their music through education.

• CHICKEN AND NOODLES: The A.B. Graham Memorial Center, 8025 E. State Route 36, Conover, will offer a chicken and noodle dinner from 5-7 p.m. The meal will include chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, dessert and drink. • TENDERLOINS: The Lockington Volunteer Fire Department will be offering a tenderloin dinner at the firehouse, 10363 Museum Trail, from 5 p.m. until they are sold out. Future tenderloin dinners will March 25. Dinners will include a Texas tenderloin, French fries and applesauce. Guests may dine-in or carry-out their meals. Proceeds will be used to pay for training and equipment. • PANCAKES AND SAUSAGE: The Bradford Lions and the Bradford Athletic Boosters will be having a Pancake and Sausage Day in the Bradford School auditeria from 7 a.m. to noon. The menu will include all- you-can-eat pancakes, served with sausage patties, applesauce and drink. The cost will be $4 for children (12 and under) and $6 for adults. All profits will be split between the two groups.

• HONORS RECITAL: The Musicians Club Honors Recital, a free event, will begin at 2 p.m. at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center. Every year the Musicians Club of Troy invites top student musicians from area high schools to perform in the honors recital to showcase the wealth of talent area young people possess. This is an opportunity for the students to hear each other and to perform for the community.

• ADVENTURE SERIES: The Miami County Park District will hold its Naturalist Adventure Series “Winter Tree Identification” from 1-4 p.m. at Charleston Falls Preserve, 2535 Ross Road, south of Tipp City. The Naturalist Adventure program is a series of fun, family activities where participants can drop in anytime during the program and learn about nature. This month, learn how to identify trees in their winter state. Mr. Tree will be on site to tell participants about the many mysteries of trees and even hand out candy. A roving naturalist will be on-site to answer questions. Stay warm — remember to layer up before you head out. • LUNCH: St. James Episcopal Church, 200 W. High St., will be hosting Lunch with God from 12:30-2: p.m. The meal is free and open to everyone.

• LEGO NIGHT: Join staff at the Troy-Miami County Public Library at 6:30 p.m. for an opportunity to create a character or scene from a book using the library’s new LEGO building bricks. Inspiration will be provided for designs and your creations will be on display at the library for two weeks. Photo opportunities will be available. This program is for all ages. • DUO TO PERFORM: Kun Dong and Benita Tse-Leung, D.M.A. will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center. The duo have performed together on university campuses in the region as well as benefit concerts as well as several Taiwan cities.

• FAST NACHT DINNER: St. John’s Lutheran Church, at Wall and Bridge streets, Covington, will have a Fast Nacht dinner from 4:30-6 p.m. Traditionally the meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes, noodles, green beans, a roll, pickled beets, applesauce and homemade crullers. Diners at the church are encouraged to give a free will offering; carry-outs are available for $5 each. The Church is handicapped accessible from the alley.

• SOUP: Cabbage roll soup and a dinner roll will be offered beginning at 6 p.m. at the Tipp City American Legion Post 586. The monthly meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
