TROY — The Miami County Commissioners awarded a bid for the purchase of prestressed concrete box beams for the Snodgrass Road Bridge No. 9.11 replacement on Thursday to Prestress Services Industries LLC, which is located in Lexington, Ky., in the amount of $74,800.
The commissioners also awarded the engineer’s 2014 center line and edge line stripping line layout program to Oglesby Construction Inc. of Norwalk.
The resignation of Meghan Baker, who was the child support aide intermittent student help at the Department of Job and Family Services, also was approved for Aug. 8.
Caixia Jin’s employment verification was authorized and signed for her new position as eligibility referral specialist 1 for the Department of Job and Family Services. Jin’s first day will be Aug. 11 at a pay rate of $13.12 per hour.
Christie Bryant’s employment verification was signed for her upcoming position as unit support worker 2 for the Department of Jobs and Family Services. Her first day is Aug. 18 at a pay rate of $11.31 per hour.
The commissioners authorized and signed the quit claim deed transfer of Parcel 112 WD Piqua Offsite Pipeline B, also known as the Spillway, to the city of Piqua. The city desired to acquire the land for highway purposes, which the Board of Miami County Commissioners owns and agreed to sell the land to Piqua.
