With support of the school district, Piqua High School Soccer Boosters have undertaken a large project at Wertz Stadium downtown. Thus far, Piqua has been blessed with having a dedicated soccer facility, but it’s time for a few updates and maintenance.

The project consists of leveling off many parts of the field and re-seeding to create a better playing surface. Also included is widening the field by a total of four yards. Lastly, a new state of the art goal system will be installed.

Project oversight is being provided by Tom’s Lawn and Landscape.

We cannot thank Tom Thornton enough for his time and expertise on this project. Without him and many parent and player volunteers, we would not have been able to undertake such a project and see it through.

The coaching staff believes when the project is completed we will have one of the premier soccer only facilities in the region.
