Fenner celebrates 50th wedding anniversary

Thomas E. and Marian M. Fenner of Piqua are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married May 5, 1964, in Basel, Switzerland, while both were serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Frankfurt, Germany.

They are the parents of two children, Robin Fenner and Michelle Fenner. They have five grandsons, Jordan, Jacob and Joshua Fries and Dylan and David Barbee (Michelle) and two great-grandsons, Josiah Jordan and Dalton Levi.

They are active in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington. He enjoys reading, fishing and riding his bike. She enjoys reading, cooking and baking. The couple both enjoy walking and working in the yard and garden. They also enjoy playing cards with friends and going out to eat.

Tom is retired from Copeland Corp. and Marian is retired from Sunset Cleaners and Bornell Supply.

An open house will be held in their honor from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 218 S. Wall St., Covington.
