TROY — A Ludlow Falls man convicted of sexually molesting a young female child under the age of 13 will face three years in prison at his upcoming sentencing hearing in May.
Darrell L. Fugate, 64, attended his change of plea hearing Tuesday in common pleas court and at it he accepted a plea bargain in his case.
Fugate, originally charged with two counts of gross sexual imposition, third-degree felonies, entered a plea of no contest and was found guilty by Judge Robert Lindeman of two amended counts of attempted gross sexual imposition, felonies of the fourth-degree.
A presentence investigation was ordered by the judge, who set a May 19 sentencing date.
Court documents state Fugate committed the sex offenses at his rural Ludlow Falls home between April 2010 and 2011 when he inappropriately touched a girl under the age of 13.
Fugate remains out of jail on a recognizance bond, but must abide by a no contact order with the victim and the victim’s family.
