GREENVILLE - A former New Madison bar owner has been charged with several sex crimes involving two underage female victims.
Klint P. Kuck, 33, of New Paris, Ohio has been indicted on two counts of Rape and one count of Kidnapping, felonies of the first degree. He has also been charged with two misdemeanor counts of Selling or Furnishing Beer or Intoxicating Liquor to an Underage Person.
The charges stem from an investigation that alleges Kuck, who was the the former owner of the Backroads Bar & Grill in New Madison, provided minor females with alcohol before committing the criminal sex acts.
The offenses allegedly happened July 13, 2012 and Feb. 22-23, 2013. Both female victims were said to be 19-years-old at the time of the reported crimes.
Kuck, a graduate of Eaton High School, appeared for an arraignment Jan. 27 with his defense attorney Kevin L. Lennen of the Rion, Rion & Rion law firm in Dayton. A bond in the amount of $10,000 was ordered by Darke County Common Pleas Court Judge Jonathan P. Hein in which Kuck immediately posted and was released.
The case is set for a pre-trial conference March 6 at 8:30 a.m. Kuck faces up to 33 years in prison and a $60,000 fine if convicted on the three felony counts as charged.
